Request PPI QuoteWhat is Pre-Production Inspection?
Pre-Production Inspection (PPI) is a quality control check conducted before mass production begins. Our inspectors visit your Thai supplier's facility to verify that all raw materials, components, and production setup meet your specifications and quality requirements.
This proactive approach helps identify potential issues early—when they're easiest and cheapest to fix. By ensuring everything is correct before production starts, you avoid costly rework, delays, and the risk of receiving defective products.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Pre-Production Inspection
Schedule your PPI after raw materials have arrived at the factory but before mass production begins. This is typically 1-2 weeks before the planned production start date. This timing allows enough time to address any issues found before production begins.
A typical Pre-Production Inspection takes one full working day (man-day). However, for complex products or large orders with many different components, it may require additional time. We'll confirm the estimated duration when you request a quote.
Please provide your product specifications, technical drawings, approved samples (if available), bill of materials (BOM), quality requirements, and any specific checkpoints you want us to verify. The more information you provide, the more thorough our inspection will be.
Our report will clearly identify all issues found with photos and descriptions. We provide a pass/fail recommendation and suggestions for corrective action. You can then work with your supplier to resolve issues before production starts. We can also conduct a re-inspection after corrections are made.
Even with trusted suppliers, PPI is valuable for new products, modified specifications, or high-value orders. It's not about distrust—it's about ensuring everyone is aligned on requirements and catching honest mistakes before they become expensive problems. Many experienced buyers use PPI as a standard quality assurance practice.
